Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Masque Du Fayoum by George Bahgoury for GBP 637.50 (€ 753.45). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Bahgoury achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musicians in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,219.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Masque Du Fayoum von George Bahgoury für GBP 637,50 (€ 753,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Bahgoury erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musicians im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 27.219,28).
