Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,880.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georg Papperitz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work German Venus, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,602.10).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.880,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Georg Papperitz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit German Venus beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.602,10) versteigert wurde.
