Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,750.00 (€ 5,620.50). Admittedly, works by Georg Macco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Orange Seller, Outside Bab Zuwayla, Cairo in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 38,022.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape With Poplar Trees von Georg Macco kam im April 2008 bei Christies in Tel Aviv zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.750,00 (€ 5.620,50) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georg Macco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Orange Seller, Outside Bab Zuwayla, Cairo im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 38.022,81).
