Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The mystical gorge by Georg Janny was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,031.50 (€ 3,040.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Georg Janny have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An allegory of power in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,015.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The mystical gorge von Georg Janny kam im März 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.031,50 (€ 3.040,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
