Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life With Birds, Fruit And Nuts by Georg Flegel for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,045.75). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georg Flegel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Irises, Tulips, Anemone, Snake'S Head Fritillaria, Lilies, Columbine, Narcissus, Carnations, Turk'S Cap Lilies, Violets, Rosemary, Bellflowers, Jonquils, A Pink Rose, A Red Peony, A Chrysanthemum, Foxglove, Clematis, Snapdragons And Other Flowers In in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 4,048,000.00 (€ 3,206,59
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life With Birds, Fruit And Nuts von Georg Flegel für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.045,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georg Flegel erzielen.
