Auction result well in line with expectations
The work King River by Geoffrey Dyer was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. It changed hands for a price of AUD 1,434.00 (€ 862.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Geoffrey Dyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled - Landscape, which sold at auction in August 2005 for AUD 4,541.00 (€ 2,767.32).

Die Arbeit King River von Geoffrey Dyer kam im April 2006 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 1.434,00 (€ 862,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Geoffrey Dyer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled - Landscape beobachtet, die im August 2005 für AUD 4.541,00 (€ 2.767,32) versteigert wurde.
