Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lion by Gennaro Capasso was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of USD 250.00 (€ 227.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gennaro Capasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Golden Freedom in August this year with an auction result of USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,393.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lion von Gennaro Capasso kam im August 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 250,00 (€ 227,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gennaro Capasso erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Golden Freedom im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.393,58).
