Auction result misses estimated price range

In the Modern & Contemporary Art | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work Untitled 28 x 38 in. (71.1 x 96.5 cm) unframed changed hands for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,760.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gene Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Legato In Red in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 171,939.48).
