In October 2004 Christies in Madrid held the auction ARTE ESPANOL, which included the work Pareja de Paisajes Costeros; Calma Inscrito Centro Inf: "Memoria de Amistad A D.Jose Laso de La Vega. G.P de Villamil" Óleo Sobre Lienzo 47 X 81,5 Cm. (18½ X 32 1/8 In.) Tormenta Óleo Sobre Lienzo 47 X 81,5 Cm. (18½ X 32 1/8 In.) by Genaro Pérez Villaamil y Duguet. The price achieved of EUR 47,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Genaro Pérez Villaamil y Duguet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Procession around the Cathedral of Seville, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 144,000.00 (€ 105,417.28).

G.P de Villamil" Óleo Sobre Lienzo 47 X 81,5 Cm. (18½ X 32 1/8 In.) Tormenta Óleo Sobre Lienzo 47 X 81,5 Cm. (18½ X 32 1/8 In.) von Genaro Pérez Villaamil y Duguet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 47.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden.
