In May 2009 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Four Magpies by Ge Xianglan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 137,500.00 (€ 12,556.63), 38% above the upper estimate. Other works by Ge Xianglan have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76) in March 2019 for the work Various Subjects.

Im Mai 2009 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Magpies von Ge Xianglan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 12.556,63) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Ge Xianglan haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76) im März 2019 für die Arbeit Various Subjects beobachtet.
