Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2002 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work The Ecstacy of Saint Francis by Gaspar de Crayer. The price achieved of GBP 8,604.00 (€ 13,921.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaspar de Crayer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ferdinand, Cardinal-Infante Of Spain (1610–1641), On Horseback in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 168,750.00 (€ 185,276.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Ecstacy of Saint Francis von Gaspar de Crayer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.604,00 (€ 13.921,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaspar de Crayer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ferdinand, Cardinal-Infante Of Spain (1610–1641), On Horseback im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.750,00 (€ 185.276,28).
