Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Water Painting by Gary Hume for USD 19,000.00 (€ 17,127.92). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War to Present at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gary Hume achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vicious in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 410,500.00 (€ 498,035.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Water Painting von Gary Hume für USD 19.000,00 (€ 17.127,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gary Hume erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vicious im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 410.500,00 (€ 498.035,27).
