Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mint White Door IV by Gary Hume was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 37,800.00 (€ 34,075.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gary Hume achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vicious in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 410,500.00 (€ 498,035.27).
