Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bronx Zoo, New York, 1963 by Garry Winogrand was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,028.97). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Garry Winogrand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Women Are Beautiful in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 116,500.00 (€ 91,862.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bronx Zoo, New York, 1963 von Garry Winogrand kam im Januar 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.028,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Garry Winogrand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Women Are Beautiful im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 116.500,00 (€ 91.862,48).
