Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gao Shiqi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October 2021. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Letter sold for HKD 132,000.00 (€ 14,683.17) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gao Shiqi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in the Style of Mifu in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,060,000.00 (€ 100,249.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gao Shiqi erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Letter für HKD 132.000,00 (€ 14.683,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Shiqi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in the Style of Mifu im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.060.000,00 (€ 100.249,27).
