Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work German the Potato Harvest by Fritz Boehle was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,558.22). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fritz Boehle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Potato Harvest, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,073.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit German the Potato Harvest von Fritz Boehle im November 2012 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.558,22) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Fritz Boehle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Potato Harvest beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 45.073,47) versteigert wurde.
