Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le due sorelle by Fritz Baumgartner was sold in the Arte del XX secolo auction at Christies in Milan in May 2000. The price achieved of ITL 1,175,000.00 (€ 1,007.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as ITL 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fritz Baumgartner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fisherfolk by a harbor in April 2001 with an auction result of USD 7,637.50 (€ 8,606.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le due sorelle von Fritz Baumgartner wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion Arte del XX secolo bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von ITL 1.175.000,00 (€ 1.007,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit ITL 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fritz Baumgartner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fisherfolk by a harbor im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.637,50 (€ 8.606,60).
