In September 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'., which included the work Atelierhoekje - Studio corner by Freek van den Berg. The result of EUR 2,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Freek van den Berg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Place de la Concorde, Paris, which sold at auction in January 2005 for EUR 7,800.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. durch, in der auch die Arbeit Atelierhoekje - Studio corner von Freek van den Berg zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Freek van den Berg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Place de la Concorde, Paris beobachtet, die im Januar 2005 für EUR 7.800,00 versteigert wurde.
