This artwork by Frederick Thomas Daws achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2001. In the Sporting Art and Dogs auction, the work Champion Winning Number of Solway, Champion Dry Toast and Champion Nimble of Hamsey, three springer spaniels in a landscape sold for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,804.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Thomas Daws - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Meurice' of Mannerhead - A Very Fine Poodle, which sold at auction in November this year for GBP 9,600.00 (€ 11,124.31).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Thomas Daws erzielte im November 2001 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs wurde die Arbeit Champion Winning Number of Solway, Champion Dry Toast and Champion Nimble of Hamsey, three springer spaniels in a landscape für GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.804,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Thomas Daws mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Meurice' of Mannerhead - A Very Fine Poodle beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für GBP 9.600,00 (€ 11.124,31) versteigert wurde.
