Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in London held the auction Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Silver and Plate and Icons, which included the work Unknown by Frederick Harding. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 336.00 (€ 495.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Frederick Harding have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2020 the work Portrait of a mother and child, circa 1825 was auctioned for GBP 882.00 (€ 985.27).

Im September 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Silver and Plate and Icons durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Frederick Harding zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 336,00 (€ 495,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Frederick Harding konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2020 die Arbeit Portrait of a mother and child, circa 1825 für GBP 882,00 (€ 985,27) versteigert.
