Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frederick Buckstone could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Summer In The Country changed hands for EUR 960.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Frederick Buckstone have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2004 by the work Near the Mill, Catford, Kent at GBP 1,075.50 (€ 1,613.65).
