In October this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Fun 'n FrolicsPaintings From the Estate of Fred Yates, which included the work Pearly King and Queen by Fred Yates. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,088.00 (€ 1,249.33), 55% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Yates achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair of Still Lifes in October this year with an auction result of GBP 14,080.00 (€ 16,167.75).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen

Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Fun 'n FrolicsPaintings From the Estate of Fred Yates durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pearly King and Queen von Fred Yates zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.088,00 (€ 1.249,33) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Yates erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Pair of Still Lifes im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.080,00 (€ 16.167,75).
