A top price for Fred Roe - as previously expected
In June 2014 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work The return of the victors, Waterloo Station by Fred Roe. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,618.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The return of the victors, Waterloo Station is the most expensive artwork by Fred Roe that we have observed at auctions so far.
