Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art, which included the work Six Figural Studies including Studies of a Woman's Head, the Sleeve of a Dress, and a kneeling Warrior and Drapery Studies by Franz Simm. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,800.00 (€ 6,106.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Franz Simm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Austrian Life In The Harem in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 85,000.00 (€ 54,599.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Six Figural Studies including Studies of a Woman's Head, the Sleeve of a Dress, and a kneeling Warrior and Drapery Studies von Franz Simm zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.800,00 (€ 6.106,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franz Simm auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Austrian Life In The Harem im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 85.000,00 (€ 54.599,18).
