Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Austrian Turkish Noble Seated In A Carpeted Interior by Franz Leo Ruben was sold in the 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2008. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,842.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Leo Ruben - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Bascarsija, Sarajevo, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 32,200.00 (€ 22,256.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Austrian Turkish Noble Seated In A Carpeted Interior von Franz Leo Ruben wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.842,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Franz Leo Ruben mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View of Bascarsija, Sarajevo beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 32.200,00 (€ 22.256,01) versteigert wurde.
