Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work Canale della Giudecca in Venedig by Franz Richard Unterberger. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 58,864.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Richard Unterberger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rio Tiorado, Venice, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 120,000.00 (€ 177,847.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Canale della Giudecca in Venedig von Franz Richard Unterberger zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 58.864,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Franz Richard Unterberger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rio Tiorado, Venice beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 120.000,00 (€ 177.847,58) versteigert wurde.
