Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art, which included the work A view of the Gulf of Naples by Franz Richard Unterberger. It changed hands for a price of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,592.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Franz Richard Unterberger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rio Tiorado, Venice in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 177,847.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the Gulf of Naples von Franz Richard Unterberger zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.592,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franz Richard Unterberger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rio Tiorado, Venice im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 177.847,58).
