Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A stall on the shore, the Bay of Naples; and On the grand tour, Pompeii by Franz Richard Unterberger was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in March 2017. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,127.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Richard Unterberger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rio Tiorado, Venice in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 177,847.58).

Die Arbeit A stall on the shore, the Bay of Naples; and On the grand tour, Pompeii von Franz Richard Unterberger wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.127,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Richard Unterberger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rio Tiorado, Venice im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 177.847,58).
