Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work An angler on a river bank, with a castle in the distance by Franz Kobell. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,169.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Kobell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ideale Landschaft bei aufziehendem Gewitter. in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit An angler on a river bank, with a castle in the distance von Franz Kobell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.169,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Kobell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ideale Landschaft bei aufziehendem Gewitter. im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.000,00.
