Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An elegant party at a country house, preparing to set out for the hunt; and An elegant hunting party capturing a stag and boar by Franz de Paula Ferg was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,279.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Franz de Paula Ferg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Italianate Town With Figures Gathered Around A 'Commedia Dell'Arte' Play, A Castle On A Hill Beyond; And An Italianate Town With Figures Dancing The 'Saltarello' And Making Music in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.279,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
