Auction result well in line with expectations

In April 2013 Christies in London held the auction Travel, Science and Natural History, which included the work A Zebra; And An Ocelot by Franz Anton von Scheidel. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,065.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Anton von Scheidel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Six études de cornes in December 2019 with an auction result of EUR 35,000.00.
