Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Czech edge Of A Forest by František Kaván. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,391.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by František Kaván - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Czech garden In Libuň (Zahrada V Libuni), which sold at auction in June 2011 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,360.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Czech edge Of A Forest von František Kaván zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.391,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von František Kaván mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Czech garden In Libuň (Zahrada V Libuni) beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.360,50) versteigert wurde.
