Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans van der Mijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A lady in a landscape with a fly on her shoulder: an Allegory of Touch in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,999.92).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Sir Henry Erskine, half-length, in a blue coat, in a feigned oval von Frans van der Mijn kam im September 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.289,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans van der Mijn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A lady in a landscape with a fly on her shoulder: an Allegory of Touch im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.999,92).
