In March 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work The midday rest by Frans Lebret. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 18,723.20 (€ 7,965.28), 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by Frans Lebret have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 9,600.00 in January 2007 for the work Cattle resting by a pool.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The midday rest von Frans Lebret zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 18.723,20 (€ 7.965,28) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Frans Lebret haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.600,00 im Januar 2007 für die Arbeit Cattle resting by a pool beobachtet.
