Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frank Townsend Hutchens could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Balancing The Water Pitcher Through The Streets of Capri changed hands for USD 720.00 (€ 532.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Townsend Hutchens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New England Garden in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,595.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Townsend Hutchens konnte im Juni 2007 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Balancing The Water Pitcher Through The Streets of Capri für USD 720,00 (€ 532,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Townsend Hutchens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New England Garden im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.595,25).
