Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frank Gallo could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Art in Focus auction, the work Girl With Books changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,916.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Frank Gallo have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2011 by the work Love Object at USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,349.08).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Gallo konnte im September 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Art in Focus wechselte die Arbeit Girl With Books für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.916,93) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Frank Gallo wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2011 die Arbeit Love Object mit USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.349,08).
