It achieved a price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,368.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frank Dillon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Pyramids of Gizeh at Sunrise sold at auction in February 2003 with the realized price of GBP 10,157.50 (€ 14,829.63).
