Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frank Darius achieved an unexpectedly high price at Lempertz in Cologne in October 2017. In the Lempertz projects auction, the work S-Bahn. S-Bahn II sold for EUR 1,240.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frank Darius; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Schwimmbad sold at auction in December 2017 with the realized price of EUR 1,488.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Darius erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Lempertz in Köln einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Lempertz projects wurde die Arbeit S-Bahn. S-Bahn II für EUR 1.240,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Frank Darius; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Schwimmbad im Dezember 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 1.488,00.
