Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 'When the blue evening slowly falls' by Frank Bramley was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 98,500.00 (€ 138,883.76). Other works by Frank Bramley have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2013 by the work When the blue evening slowly falls at GBP 163,875.00 (€ 187,255.75).
