Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Low tide by Frank Bindley. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 763.75 (€ 1,213.77). Admittedly, works by Frank Bindley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Feeding the bird in February 2009 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,355.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Low tide von Frank Bindley zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 763,75 (€ 1.213,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Bindley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Feeding the bird im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.355,47).
