Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Turn Up and Dock by Frank Ahlgrimm. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,161.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Ahlgrimm - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Routing, which sold at auction in October 2017 for EUR 3,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Turn Up and Dock von Frank Ahlgrimm zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.161,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Ahlgrimm mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Routing beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für EUR 3.750,00 versteigert wurde.
