The work Femme nue allongée, vue de dos by François Van Loo was sold in the PEINTURES ANCIENNES ET DU XIXEME SIECLE auction at Christies in Paris in June 2002. It changed hands for a price of EUR 116,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 100,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Femme nue allongée, vue de dos is the most expensive artwork by François Van Loo that we have observed at auctions so far.
