In May 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Still life of a blue vase of mixed flowers and a basket of cherries (illustrated); and Still life of a coffee pot, apples, grapes, a spray of flowers and dish on a marble ledge by François Rivoire. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,143.50) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Rivoire achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A vase of roses; and A basket of flowers in March 2001 with an auction result of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 18,959.80).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life of a blue vase of mixed flowers and a basket of cherries (illustrated); and Still life of a coffee pot, apples, grapes, a spray of flowers and dish on a marble ledge von François Rivoire zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.143,50) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Rivoire erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A vase of roses; and A basket of flowers im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.750,00 (€ 18.959,80).
