Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work "Corinne Au Cap Misène" by François Gérard was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2014. It achieved a price of USD 59,375.00 (€ 43,371.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Gérard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Baronportrait Of Joachim Napoléon Murat, King Of Naples And Of The Two Sicilies in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 739,500.00.
