A top price for Francois Joseph Pfeiffer II - as previously expected
The work Two boys resting on a wooden bridge in a landscape by Francois Joseph Pfeiffer II was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Two boys resting on a wooden bridge in a landscape is the most expensive artwork by Francois Joseph Pfeiffer II that we have observed at auctions so far.
