Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings and Sculpture Day Sale, which included the work Still Life Of Flowers In A Blue And White Chinese Porcelain Bowl With A Red Admiral Butterfly On A Wooden Ledge by François Habert. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,250.00 (€ 66,538.37). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Habert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stephanotis, primroses, snowdrops and other flowers in a blue and white Chinese bowl with a Red Admiral and a white cabbage butterfly on a ledge, which sold at auction in July 2000 for GBP 113,750.00 (€ 183,932.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings and Sculpture Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of Flowers In A Blue And White Chinese Porcelain Bowl With A Red Admiral Butterfly On A Wooden Ledge von François Habert zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.250,00 (€ 66.538,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von François Habert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stephanotis, primroses, snowdrops and other flowers in a blue and white Chinese bowl with a Red Admiral and a white cabbage butterfly on a ledge beobachtet, die im Juli 2000 für GBP 113.750,00 (€ 183.932,25) versteigert wurde.
