In October 2003 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Colonel George Fergusson Henry, Honorary Bey at the Sultan's Court by François-Gabriel-Guillaume Lépaulle. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 65,725.00 (€ 56,615.56). With this result, Colonel George Fergusson Henry, Honorary Bey at the Sultan's Court is even the most expensive work of art by François-Gabriel-Guillaume Lépaulle that we have observed at auctions so far.
