Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Street Musicians by François Eisen for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,591.51). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Eisen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Vieille Et Les Deux Servantes, D'Après La Fontaine, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 7,540.00.

Im Januar 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Street Musicians von François Eisen für USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.591,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von François Eisen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Vieille Et Les Deux Servantes, D'Après La Fontaine beobachtet, die im November 2016 für EUR 7.540,00 versteigert wurde.
