Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Day'S News by François Brunery was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2015. The price achieved of USD 5,938.00 (€ 5,259.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Brunery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le pont d'amour in March 2001 with an auction result of GBP 256,750.00 (€ 414,291.85).

Die Arbeit The Day'S News von François Brunery kam im Januar 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.938,00 (€ 5.259,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Brunery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le pont d'amour im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 256.750,00 (€ 414.291,85).
