Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Delicious Conversation by François Brunery for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,422.61). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Brunery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le pont d'amour in March 2001 with an auction result of GBP 256,750.00 (€ 414,291.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Delicious Conversation von François Brunery für USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.422,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Brunery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le pont d'amour im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 256.750,00 (€ 414.291,85).
